Orange Blossom Creamed Honey

$16.00

Creamed Honey is just simply crystallized honey. All natural honey will crystalize at some point every year and is a natural process of honey. The sugar crystals in the honey will grow when the temperature of the honey falls below 57 degrees. At this point, the sugar crystals will increase in size and expand to the other crystals around it forming a large mass. Eventually, the liquid in the honey will solidify and become hard to use.

So creamed honey is where those large crystals are broken down or crushed and the texture becomes very smooth. This version of honey is widely popular in Europe and can be easily found vs. regular honey that is preferred here. Creamed honey is becoming increasingly popular in the US and flavors are added to it to make them even more appealing.

Currently, our Creamed Honey flavors are made with powders and not oils. The flavors that we currently offer are Cinnamon, Lemon, Wildflower, (no flavoring is added, just wildflower honey), Pumpkin Spice, and Apple Pie. They are available in 1/2 pint jars yielding 10 ounces per jar. A lot of effort goes into making creamed honey and so the process time can take up to 12 days to make a batch of creamed honey. More flavors will be added in the future.
